Man, I gotta talk fast to get everything I wanna say in to a 10 minute podcast. Just sayin. If the cafepress shop takes off, it will pay for a hosting package that should allow me to tackle subjects more in depth. Let's hope.

Okay, I'm working on a swag shop for the group. I'm still designing stuff to put in it that is gender neutral and cool looking...I hope. Let me know what you think, and if you like it enough, please feel free to purchase whatever you want. I'll keep adding stuff as I get ideas.

... Another one opens. Today, hubby and I tried to attend a Tulsa Preppers Meetup, which ended up being a 60 mile round trip for us... one we could not afford to make. Well, since we had trouble finding the place, we were late and hubby said we weren't going in halfway through the class. I was just so fed up with the idea of driving 60 miles just to go to these things, I decided it wasn't for me. I left Tulsa Preppers Meetup.

...and i'm reaching for things to do with them. I've already mentioned pear wine, and of course, there's been copious amounts of fresh eating. So, today, I peeled, cored, and chunked about a half bushel of the buggers and am canning them up in a cinnamon syrup. Really simple to make. Okay, so that went off without a hitch. I was a good girl, though, and stuck to topic to the best of my ability. Came in under 10 minutes again. The good news is that in that short time, I managed to go through the steps I take to pressure can food. I will assume you are working with clean, washed mason jars, with new lids and good rings. Okay, so, I jump through a lot of hoops to try to get the danged thing up, and I'm ready to scrap it at this time. Even used a storage site to link to it, but I can't get it to play from there, either. I broke it up into 2 segments...no good... 4 segments... no good... 5 segments... finally small enough, but i'm only allowed to post one file per entry, so none of that was worth doing in the first place.
