... Another one opens. Today, hubby and I tried to attend a Tulsa Preppers Meetup, which ended up being a 60 mile round trip for us... one we could not afford to make. Well, since we had trouble finding the place, we were late and hubby said we weren't going in halfway through the class. I was just so fed up with the idea of driving 60 miles just to go to these things, I decided it wasn't for me. I left Tulsa Preppers Meetup.
Since it was at a library, though, I chose to take advantage of the free wifi. I checked my email to find that I'd been invited to help coordinate an Ark2 group in this area. This is Bruce Beach's group. Last time I had tried to join Ark2, there wasn't a nearby existing group, and I was a newbie prepper. So, I was kinda sad about it. I continued to follow Bruce Beach and Ark2 for several years. Then recently, I started working on a writing project with his group, which brought my name back up to them, I guess. I was contacted by a team lead for an Ark2 group in a nearby state, who asked me if I would be interested in helping to coordinate a group here, since there isn't one currently. I accepted. He forwarded my info to the national coordinator, and I heard from him this evening. I'm trying hard not to get too excited, just in case something falls through, or I'm not qualified.
Keeping fingers crossed, though.
